The fantastic mountain area around Hohentauern, the Triebener and Rottenmanner Tauern, as well as the nearby Gesäuse mountains offer so many peaks worth experiencing and climbing that it is always worth coming to Hohentauern.
The Hohentauern ski area
Hohentauern is a small but diverse winter sports area. Skiing, cross-country skiing, tobogganing and winter hikes are possible directly from the house. The surrounding mountains are popular destinations for snowshoe hikes and ski tours.
